About Seena
Seena Hodges (she/her) is a visionary CEO, speaker, strategist, and public voice committed to helping people see the world—and themselves—more clearly.
As the Founder & CEO of Bravely Seen™, Seena leads a platform that confronts hard truths, elevates bold voices, and empowers leaders to cultivate courage as a daily practice. Through storytelling, media, and public learning experiences, she helps people move beyond intention and into purposeful, consistent action.
-
A lifelong connector and a champion for racial equity, Seena founded The Woke Coach® in 2018 to help individuals and organizations deepen their analysis of race, bias, and systemic injustice. The company’s transformative work, anchored by her signature From Ally to Accomplice® framework, helped thousands confront the world—and their role in it—with greater insight, empathy, and responsibility. Clients often describe working with Seena as challenging, transformative, and life-changing.
-
Through Bravely Seen, Seena steps even more publicly into her role as a provocateur for courageous leadership. Her work makes the invisible impossible to ignore, and then asks leaders to respond with clarity, honesty, and action. She teaches that courage is not a personality trait or a single moment—it’s a practice rooted in the choices leaders make every day.
-
Seena is a trained equity, diversity, and inclusion facilitator; a Certified Public Manager; a certified IDI® and CliftonStrengths® administrator; and a seasoned communications professional with a background in Broadway public relations, arts administration, and nonprofit leadership. Her work blends rigorous analysis, deep emotional intelligence, and the joy that sustains long-term change.
A graduate of Columbia College (SC) and Columbia University (MFA), Seena is currently pursuing a PhD in Management & Public Service at Hamline University. She has been recognized nationally for her leadership, including the Beloved Community Award and multiple honors as one of the Twin Cities’ most influential leaders.
Seena is deeply committed to community, cultural stewardship and collective progress and has been widely recognized for her Civic and Professional leadership.
